Safari Budget Bag
Bring animal adventures to hands-on play with the Safari Budget Bag. This smaller sensory set includes 4 cups of textured filler, safari animals, natural-looking scenery, and a wooden scoop. Children can scoop, sort, explore, and create their own safari scenes while enjoying open-ended sensory play.
The sensory filler combines split peas with dyed pasta. Together, the different shapes and textures create an interesting base for animal play, while the earthy colors help give the set a natural safari look.
What Is Included
The Safari Budget Bag includes 4 cups of split peas and dyed pasta sensory filler. It also comes with four safari animals: a lion, giraffe, elephant, and zebra. Children can build out the habitat with a tree and two small bushes, while six rocks add another natural element to the scene.
Five blue flat-back marbles can become a small pond or watering hole during pretend play. A wooden scoop completes the set and gives children another way to move, pour, and explore the filler.
Create a Safari Animal Adventure
Children can arrange the animals and scenery in many different ways. For example, they can place the animals around the pretend watering hole, hide them behind the plants, create paths through the filler, or build their own animal habitats.
Because the play is open-ended, children can create new scenes each time. One day the elephant may visit the watering hole, while another day the lion may rest near the rocks. This type of imaginative play encourages storytelling and gives children room to create their own safari adventures.
Fine-Motor and Learning Fun
Scooping, transferring, arranging, and picking up small pieces all encourage fine-motor practice. These simple movements can also support hand-eye coordination and careful grasping.
Parents, teachers, and homeschool families can add simple learning activities as well. Children can count the animals, sort items by type, compare animal sizes, or talk about where different animals live. The Safari Budget Bag works well for preschool activities, homeschool lessons, classroom sensory centers, animal units, and play at home.
A Smaller Safari Sensory Option
The Safari Budget Bag gives families a smaller way to enjoy themed sensory play without purchasing a full sensory bin. The 4-cup filler size works well with a tray, sensory table, or container you already have.
Sensory-N-Stuff prepares our sensory fillers in small batches and pairs them with themed pieces for creative, hands-on play. After playtime, simply gather the pieces and store them until the next safari adventure.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD — Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. Adult supervision is required during play.
